On January 16, 2021, officers responded to 2514 W. Gate City Blvd. at the Shell gas station. Police located Shannon Carter who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Carter’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On January 2, 2021, officers responded to a person lying in the street at 207 Shaw St. Police located Darrick Kelly who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Kelly’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

SOLVED!
On December 28, 2020, officers responded to the Exxon Gas Station located at 3028 W. Gate City Blvd. Police located Aron Smith who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Aron’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On December 12, 2020, officers responded to a shooting at Ogden Street and South Street. Police located Christina Jones who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Christina’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On 11/10/2020 at approximately 2:17am, officers responded to 802 Folly Court in reference to a shooting. Ardoin Smith was located suffering from fatal gunshots and succumbed to his wounds. Audi’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On 11/09/2020 at approximately 8:26pm, officers responded to 1204 Curtis Street in reference to a shooting. Michael Melvin was located suffering from fatal gunshots and succumbed to his wounds. Michael’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
2020-1104-020 Mark Freedman November 04, 2020
Up to $50,000 Reward!
Early morning on November 4, 2020 officers responded to 616 Dolley Madison Rd., the parking lot of Mark’s Restaurant. Police located Mark Freedman, Owner of the restaurant, who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound after being assaulted on Election Night, November 3, 2020. Mark’s death is being investigated as a homicide. The perpetrator is believed to be of medium/stocky build and short to medium height.
2020-1027-204 Leon Williams October 27, 2020
On 10/27/2020 at 7:12pm, officers responded to the 500 Block of Andrew St. in reference to a shooting. Leon Williams was located suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital. On 11/13/2020, Williams died from injuries sustained on 10/27/2020.

On 10/18/2020 at approximately 6:24am, officers responded to 5649 Hornaday Road in reference to a shooting. Adam Blake was located suffering from a fatal gunshot and succumbed to his wound. Adam’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On October 12, 2020 at 11:20pm, Devante Coleman, age 26, was shot while driving his vehicle near the intersection of W. Gate City Blvd. and S. Holden Rd.

On October 8, 2020, Guilford County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting at 3600 Block of Cannan Forest Dr. Deputies located Anthony King who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Anthony’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
2020-0714-038 Homicide of Jonathan Brockett July 14, 2020
On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, police officers responded to a car crash at the 3300 block of Euclid St. at 4:30am. Officers located Jonathan Brockett, age 26, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment but later succumbed to his injuries. His death is being investigated as a homicide.
2020-0529-025 Xavier Torrence May 29, 2020
On May 29, 2020 at approximately 1:30am, Greensboro Police responded to reports of a shooting incident that occurred at the 100 block of Glendale Drive. Upon arrival, officers located Xavier Torrence suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
2020-0528-027 Carl Edward Melton Jr. May 28, 2020
On May 28, 2020, police responded to 5307 Strasburg Drive in reference to a “shots fired/ subjects down” call. Victim Carl Melton, age 26, was located in the roadway suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Witnesses reported that unknown armed suspects had entered the residence and that Mr. Melton and another victim were shot.

On 5/09/2020 at approximately 6:18am, officers responded to 699 Abington Dr./Dawson Ave. in reference to a shooting. Harold Plummer was located suffering from a fatal gunshot and succumbed to his wound. Harold’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
2020-0429-066 Deionte Kyre-Marquez Hall April 29, 2020
On April 29, 2020, at approximately 11:22am, Greensboro Police Officers responded to 23 Covey Lane in reference to a shooting incident. Mr. Deionte Kyre-Marquez Hall, was located inside of his vehicle, a red Toyota Camry with a fatal gunshot wound. Mr. Hall later died as a result of his injuries.

On 04/28/2020 at approximately 2:40pm, officers responded to 516 Lama Street in reference to an unresponsive man. Mr. Goins was located deceased from a fatal gunshot wound. Mr. Goin’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On April 12, 2020, officers responded to 517 Mystic Drive at 12:55am. Police located Aisjon Teasley who was suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Aisjon’s death is being investigated as a homicide.

On April 2, 2020, at approximately 6:50pm, Greensboro police responded to the 1000 block of Creek Ridge Road in reference to a shooting. When police arrived they found Zane Crosson outside of a car suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Zane’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
