On Friday 8/4/2023 at 4:30 am officers responded to I-40 Westbound near exit 216 (Patterson St) in reference to a car crash. Officers located Dedrick deceased inside the vehicle where he had been shot. Dedrick’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On Thursday, July 6, 2023 around 1:00am, officers responded to a call in reference to a down subject in the roadway near the 2100 block of White St. Tevin Johnson was found suffering from gunshot wounds and later died from the injuries. Tevin’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On Saturday, 6/17/2023 at 1:30am, officers responded to a shooting at Choice Extended Stay located at 110 E. Seneca Rd. Officers located Eric Miller, Jr. suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Mr. Miller’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On 4/24/2023 at 12:40am, officers responded to a shooting near the 2500 block of Battleground Ave. The located Famous Mason suffering from a gunshot wound inside a black 2019 Mercedes CLA 250 4matic vehicle. Mr. Mason was transported to the hospital and died as a result of his injuries on 6/14/2023. His death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On Friday 5/19/2023 at 4 am officers responded to a shooting at 3401 W. Gate City Blvd, behind Discount Tire. Officers located Rufus shot and he was transported to Cone Hospital where he later died. Rufus’ death is now being investigated as a homicide.
