On 6/11/2023 at 2:45 am officers responded to a shooting at the 4500 block of W. Market St. Kayla had been shot and later died from the injuries. Kayla’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On 6/11/2023 at 10:25 pm officers responded to W. JJ Dr and S. Elm-Eugene St. Officers located Susan with a gunshot wound. Susan’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On Friday 6/09/2023 at 8:21 am officers responded to a car on fire near 1801 Huffine Mill Rd. Inside the car officers located Melvin deceased in his black Honda Accord. Melvin’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On Friday 5/19/2023 at 4 am officers responded to a shooting at 3401 W. Gate City Blvd, behind Discount Tire. Officers located Rufus shot and he was transported to Cone Hospital where he later died. Rufus’ death is now being investigated as a homicide.

On Tuesday 4/4/2023 around 6:55 pm officers responded to a shooting in the area of Bessemer Av and Circle Dr. Officers located Deja at 1037 Sullivan St. with a gun shot wound. Deja died from the injury and her death is now being investigated as a homicide. This is all the information available to Crime Stoppers at this time.

On 4/1/2023 at 9:50 pm Officers responded to a shooting at 1326 Ogden St. Ariyonna was found suffering from a gunshot wound and died from the injury. Ariyonna’s death is now being investigated as a homicide. Ariyonna was a student at Grimsley High School.

On Monday, 3/27/2023 at approximately 9:00pm, officers responded to an assault at 106 Durham St. Officers located the victim, Erica Burden, deceased in the backyard. Erica’s death is now being investigated as a homicide.
